Police are looking for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run collision in central Salina Monday afternoon.

A 2022 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 34-year-old Salina woman was northbound on S. Ninth Street and stopped at the light at the W. Crawford Street intersection when a large, older model white car with a black bumper came out of the Casey's parking lot and struck it, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

The white car then went back into the Casey's parking lot and left northbound, he said.

The collision occurred at approximately 1 p.m. Monday.

The driver of the white car was described as being a younger male with brown hair. The white car possibly had a handicapped license plate, Forrester said.

The Elantra sustained damage along the passenger side and rear.
