
The Salina Police Department continues to search for the suspect in the murder of Courtney Ann Hoffman.
At approximately 11:42 a.m. on Feb. 23, 2021, Salina Fire Department EMS and Salina Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Fourth Street for a report of the sound of gunfire and someone screaming.
Upon arrival, Salina Police Officers located Hoffman, 36, of Salina, inside a vehicle at 731 North Fourth Street. She had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by Salina Fire Department EMS personnel.
Probable cause established from this homicide investigation led detectives with the Salina Police Department to obtain from Saline County District Court a Murder in the First Degree warrant for Nelson Gerrod Hull III, 35.
Law enforcement personnel are actively seeking the whereabouts of Hull, who should be considered armed and dangerous.
