Kansas Wesleyan's Brianna Hernandez-Silva (JR/Las Vegas, Nev.) and Alexandra Mansur (FR/Henderson, Nev.) have been selected as the KCAC flag football offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for their efforts for the Coyotes last week.
KCAC Player of the Week is selected by conference sports information directors.
Hernandez-Silva once again made the KWU offense go. She accounted for 329 of the team's 336 yards of total offense in the game and had a part in all four touchdowns. She threw for 226 yards and two scores and rushed 10 times for 103 yards and two more touchdowns as KWU beat Saint Mary 27-13. This marks the third time this season that Hernandez-Silva has been named the KCAC Women's Flag Football Offensive Player of the Week.
Mansur was a big part in helping KWU beat Saint Mary. She had a total of six flag pulls that included a sack and two pass breakups.
The Coyotes are back in action this week with a triangular with Midland and Saint Mary in Fremont, Neb., then a single game on Friday at Ottawa.
