LINDSBORG -- Retired McPherson County Sheriff's Captain Doug Anderson received a grand welcome home this afternoon.
Anderson, who has been battling COVID-19 and its effects since October and was being treated out-of-state, was transferred back to the Lindsborg Community Hospital via medical transport early this afternoon.
A longtime member of the McPherson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson received a law enforcement escort into Lindsborg as people stood along the streets to wave and welcome him home.
