Violet Junk, 82, Osborne, Kansas passed away Thursday, August 22 at Parkview Care Center.
Violet was born June 13th, 1942 at her home near Bloomington, KS. She was the youngest child of Margueritte Mary (Roenne) Roadhouse and Charles Roadhouse. Violet attended Bloomington Grade School and graduated from Osborne High School with the class of 1960.
On November 25, 1961 Violet married Fred Junk in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Osborne. Violet and Fred were blessed with three children, Mark, Kara and Darrin. They lived on farms in the Corinth and Osborne area before moving to Osborne in 1977.
Violet received a gold bell for her many years of work in the Osborne school district. Violet had a love for reading and she enjoyed planting and working in her garden. She was blessed being a grandma to Caden and Seth Junk, Lily and Sophia Bond and Derrick Junk and being a great grandma to Hayes Junk.
Violet is survived by her children Mark Junk and wife Eva of Hays, KS, Kara Bond of Olathe, KS and Darrin Junk and wife Trish of Wichita, KS. Her Sister Phyllis Arnold of Alton, KS. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred, brothers Charles Roadhouse and Marion Roadhouse.
There will be a visitation held on Sunday August 25, 2024 from 5PM until 7PM at the Rentschler Family Mortuaries in Osborne, KS. There will be a rosary recited at 6:00PM
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 26, 2024 at the St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Church at 10:30AM.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the USD 392 Cafeteria and can be sent in care of the mortuary.
