MCPHERSON -- The McPherson Police Department on Friday warned residents of a telephone scam.
On its Facebook page, the McPherson Police Department issued the following statement.
Several citizens have called the McPherson Police Department to report that they have received a phone call from the police department. This is reported as an "automated call" stating there is a warrant for them. The McPherson Police Department will not call you and advise you of this type of information. Do Not select any of the prompts as asked during the call, HANG UP! Block the incoming number on your phone.
