A barn and a home was lost after a fire in rural Saline County.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on Monday, August 4th a barn and a home was reportedly on fire. Deputies received a call from a neighbor who stated a barn and house located on 3008 N. Gypsum Valley caught in flames.
Rural Fire District #5 extinguished the fire shortly after the report.
The barn was owned by 67-year old Billy Jeffrey. He was not present when the fire happened. The home is an unoccupied dwelling.
The cause of fire is undetermined at this time.
