Phillip Ray Grubbs, 84, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was born February 10, 1938, in Quincy, Illinois.
He worked for 18 years as a truck driver for Apex Construction.
He was preceded in death by parents Daniel Lee and C. "Oneta" (Meyer) Grubbs, his son Phillip R. Grubbs, Jr., in 2019, sisters Ramona G. Goodwin, and Lillie Stock, and brother Gene Grubbs in 2020.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Evelyn R. (May) Grubbs, brother Daniel Dean Grubbs and his wife; Karen, sister-in-law Edna Grubbs; and his in-laws Robert May of Ewing, MO., Wayne May and his wife Judy of Idaho, Joan Brackney of Chapman, Alice Disney and her husband Bob of Delphos, and Danny May and his wife Sandy of Chicago, IL., and an aunt Wilma Frontier of Junction City, and a step-grandson, Doug Tabler and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., just one hour prior to the start of his funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
