Duane N. Thibault, 66, of Salina, passed away on August 23, 2021 in Salina, KS. Duane died of COVID-19 due to his compromised immune system from chemotherapy to treat his Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Duane was born in Osborne, KS to Ulysses and Millie Thibault on January 10, 1955. He went to school in Osborne. Duane graduated from Kansas State University in 1977 with a degree in accounting. He worked as a CPA for Kennedy & Coe for seven years and retired from Blue Beacon International after working 37 years as Controller. Duane served on the Salina Rescue Mission Board and Sacred Heart High School Booster Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Duane is survived by his spouse, Eileen, four daughters: Lindsey (Brett) Wilson, Kelly Thibault, both of Salina, Lisa (Bryan) Biggs, Meriden, KS, and Tracie Thibault, Memphis, TN. Four grandchildren: Brynn and Maddux Wilson, and Alli and Jackson Biggs. Four brothers: Ronald (Linda) Thibault, Stanley (June) Thibault, Alan (Cindi) Thibault, Dean (Mary) Thibault, and a sister, Carole (Jim) Koch.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents Ulysses F. Thibault, (1987), and Millie R. Thibault, (2001), and brothers Dale J. Thibault, (1960) and Dan (Maria) Thibault, (2021).
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Friday, August 27 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 28, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Sacred Heart High School, or Sisters of St. Joseph, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
