Marjorie J. Cole, 91, of Auburn, KS passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. She was born July 23, 1932 in Auburn, KS the daughter of William & Emma (Maus) Hoppe. Marjorie grew up in the Auburn community, graduating from Auburn High School with the class of 1950.
Marjorie was married to the love of her life Marvin on July 28, 1950. They celebrated 71 years of marriage until his passing on June 13, 2022.
Marjorie was a book keeper. She retired as Vice President of Security State Bank of Auburn. Marjorie’s hobbies after retirement was sewing and attending rabbit shows.
She is survived by three sons, Rodney Cole and wife, Gay of Auburn, KS, Michael Cole and wife, Connie of Topeka, KS and Steven Cole and wife, Susan of Girard, KS; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and Interment will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, KS. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 503 S. Topeka Avenue, Burlingame, KS 66413.
