Salina Rescue Mission
For many men in our community, the Salina Rescue Mission is more than a place to sleep — it is a place to find hope, healing, and a fresh start.
Now through June 30, every gift to the Salina Rescue Mission will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, through a special Matching Gift Challenge.
That means each donation will provide twice as many meals, twice as many nights of shelter, and help twice as many men receive the support and care they need.
Thanks to the generosity of individuals, churches, businesses, and community partners, the Mission continues to make a life-changing impact in the lives of homeless and struggling men in North Central Kansas.
In 2025 alone, the Salina Rescue Mission:
· Provided more than 73,000 meals.
· Served an average of 86 men each night.
· Offered programs focused on employment assistance, support for individuals with disabilities, and the New Life Program designed to help men heal, grow, and find new life in Christ.
“Our goal is not simply to provide a handout, but to offer a true hand up,” Executive Pastor Chad Young shared. “We want every man who comes through our doors to leave healthier, stronger, and better equipped for life than when he arrived.”
That help often includes doctor visits, prescription medications, life skills training, encouragement, spiritual support, and guidance toward long-term stability and independence.
At the heart of the Mission’s work is a desire to live out the love of Jesus Christ by serving people in their time of need, sharing hope, and encouraging life transformation through faith. Over the years, many men have found healing, renewed purpose, restored relationships, and a better future through the care and support they received.
The Salina Rescue Mission receives no government funding. Every meal served, every bed provided, and every life impacted is made possible through the faithful support of donors, churches, foundations, businesses, and fundraising events.
Community members who would like to help can make a donation before June 30 to have their gift doubled through the Matching Gift Challenge.
