March 18, 1973 - August 10, 2022

Brett Wayne Zimmer was born on March 18, 1973 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Bruce Kem and Rosemary Jensen Zimmer. He died on Wednesday, August 10, 2022  at his home in Jamestown, Kansas at the age of 49, after a fight with cancer.

He grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas, where he attended and graduated from Richland High School. Following graduation, he attended electrician’s school in Texas and went on to earn his Master Electrician’s License, as well as certification in plumbing, heating and air conditioning.

In 1998, he was united in marriage with Sarah McLallen. Two daughters, Katie and Rachel, were born to this union, which later dissolved.

Brett owned and operated Zimmer Electric for many years, and also worked in maintenance for USD 273 in Beloit, and also landed his dream job as supervisor for Interstates Construction.

In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing – he went on many hog hunting trips and alligator hunting trips with friends throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2011.

Brett is survived by his two daughters, Katie of Topeka, and Rachel of Beloit; his mother Rosemary of North Richland Hills, Texas; two brothers, Brian of North Richland Hills and Bryce and his wife Allison of Colleyville, Texas; nieces and nephews Lindsey, Brock, and Braylee; and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 16 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed.

Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the Beloit First United Methodist Church.
