A gas leak is suspected to be the cause of a residential fire in rural Saline County.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on June 9 at 5:26 pm, deputies and firemen were dispatched to a south rural Saline County home for the report of a fire.
The Sheriff's Office stated that a 42-year-old female homeowner was cooking dinner on her stove when it suddenly caught on fire.
Rural Fire District #2 arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
Firemen suspected the cause of fire was from a gas leak.
No damage was made to the home and no injuries were reported.
