UPDATE: 3.2, 2.1 magnitude earthquakes strikes SW of Gypsum

UPDATE 7:30 p.m. Saturday: A second earthquake struck southeastern Saline County Saturday.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake rattled part of the area southwest of Gypsum at 4:47 p.m. Saturday. It was centered just northwest of the S. Cunningham Road/E. Hedberg Road intersection.

The 3.2 magnitude quake struck at 11:23 a.m. Saturday southwest of Gypsum, according to the Kansas Geological survey. The quake was centered just east of S. Niles Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.
