Robert B. Googe, 84, of Salina, Kan., passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born in Canton, N.C., on March 13, 1937.
Bob married Arletta Hays on June 25, 1959, in Salina. He was a flight engineer for the C-130 in the U.S. Airforce, retiring as a master sergeant. Bob then joined the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for 20 years. He loved to go fishing whenever he had the chance.
He is preceded in death by his parents Pascal Clinton Googe and Blanche Ann Hancock, and brother Charles Googe.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Arletta, and children Jeanette Googe and Michael Googe.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Poheta Cemetery, near Kipp, Kan., with military honors by Salina V.F.W. Post 1432.
Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. or D.A.V., in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
