Thieves strike at property west of Salina for second time

Thieves once again stole items from a property west of Salina.

Sometime between May 29 and June 12, someone broke into an unoccupied house and a Morton Building in the 1200 block of S. Hohneck Road, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said on June 13. Multiple items were stolen in that incident.

Soldan said this morning that sometime between Thursday evening and Friday morning, a property in the 1200 block of S. Hohneck Road was burglarized once again. A number of items were stolen, including the following.

A 20 gallon Craftsman air compressor

A four-drawer Craftsman tool box

A 12-inch Sterrett combination square

A Brown and Sharpe dial indicator

A Brown and Sharpe test indicator

A Case propane heater

A Green Mountain tailgate grill

Two Craftsman shop vacs

A potbelly stove

Assorted hand tools

Soldan said the total loss of the most recent incident was estimated at $7,837.

The property belongs to a 48-year-old Salina man.
