Tampa - Mary Clemmer, 93, passed away February 14, 2022 in Salina.

Mary J. Daily Clemmer, 93, of Tampa, KS, formerly of Emporia, passed on February 14, 2022. Mary was born on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1928 in Neosho Rapids, KS to Charles and Mary Bills Daily.

She graduated from Emporia High School and was married to James E. Clemmer, on November 19, 1946. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tampa, KS.

Mary was survived by three of her sons Ronald E. of Tampa; Donald A. and Staci; Dale Lee, both of Salina; daughter-in-law, Mary G., Salina and sister Jo Anne Fowler, Emporia; eight grandchildren, Katherine (Kathi) & Nyle Sutton, Topeka; Shawn and Karin Clemmer, Salina; Dahn and Chris Walker, Salina; Charles (Charlie) & Heather Clemmer, Lincolnville; Cassie Clemmer and Christopher Dean (fiance’), Salina; Gwen Robinson; Lisa Robinson, both of Chico, CA.; Teresa Robinson, Salina; 21 great-grandchildren, Alex, Meaghan, Kyle, Abigail (Abbie) and Ryan Sutton; Blayke and Seth Clemmer; Cierra, Corbin and Kai Walker; Kaylie Clemmer, Lexis and Kaigen Brewer; Christian and Connor Carter, Cale Temmel and Christopher Dean Jr.; Elexis Carin and Dennis; Jakob Robinson and Ricki (fiance’); Julianne Martinez and Jason; Jade Robinson and Jimmy (fiance’); four great-great-grandchildren, Masson, Maddux, Raydon Robisnon and Axel.

She is preceded in death by her husband James; son James B. Clemmer; two grandchildren, Amy and James Andrew Clemmer; one great-grandchild, Jessica Robinson; six sisters and five brothers.

Mary left a legacy of love for her family; she taught them to be loyal, honest, kind and to always look out for one another.

She was a purposeful stay-at-home mom until her sons were in high school, then for 30 faithful years she was a bookkeeper for Cardie Oil, Inc. of Tampa. She was a diligent gardener growing vegetables, an avid reader and she also enjoyed sewing. Her family also remembers her for her love of baseball/softball and has passed down that love to many of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her joys in life were Christ as her Savior, her husband Jim; her four sons and their families; her parents, all of her brothers and sisters and their families, sewing, reading and her garden.

Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tampa, KS on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Neosho Rapids, KS. Memorials can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Tampa, KS.
