ASSARIA - A small earthquake shook part of southern Saline County Thursday evening.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck southeast of Assaria at 7:29 p.m. Thursday. It was centered just north-northwest of the S. Holmes Road/E. Hedberg Road intersection.
