Police are looking for the person seen on video firing a gun into the air and battering a local man in a Salina park Sunday evening.
The 33-year-old man told police that he had words with a group of "kids" near the stage in Oakdale Park at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.
One of the group members fired a gun into the air and then got into a physical altercation with the man. The man sustained injuries to his face, Forrester said.
Video from the area shows a light-skinned Black male in a white t-shirt and shorts discharge the gun near the stage and then hand the gun to a White male who put the gun into a backpack. The male who fired the gun is then seen getting into a physical altercation with the 33-year-old man, Forrester said.
The male sought in the case was described as being about 5'9" and a light-skinned Black male, Forrester said.
