A Salina organization was among the winners in the recent Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) Commission Big Game Permit drawing.
Commission Big Game Permit winners were drawn by KDWPT Commissioners during their Thursday meeting, according to a post on the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Facebook page.
This year, the commission received 209 eligible applications for the permit drawing. The Commission Big Game Permit program allows eligible conservation organizations to apply for one of seven big game permits, which can then be sold to raise funds for pre-approved conservation projects.
The winners of the drawing include the following.
Ducks Unlimited, Cedar Bluff Chapter, Deer
Pheasants Forever, Saline County, Deer
Ducks Unlimited, Russell Chapter, Deer
Ducks Unlimited, Beaver Valley/Atwood, Deer
Kansas Wildscape Foundation, Deer
