PAPILLION, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan men's soccer dropped its first road contest of the 2021 spring season on Saturday, a 5-0 decision to No. 15 ranked Bellevue at Papillion Landing.
Bellevue jumped out to a 3-0 lead, netting goals in the 21st, 26th and 34th minutes.
Wesleyan's offense was stymied in the first half, but had some looks in the second. Shots by Steven Moya (SR/Whittier, Calif.) and Luis Simbron (JR/Miami, Fla.) nearly found their way into goal in the 53rd and 55th minutes, respectively, but both were saved.
The Bruins added two more goals in the 66th and 67th minutes to take a 5-0 lead.
Bellevue outshot KWU 20-6 in the match. Simbron had two shots. Eduardo Picaso had four saves.
KWU is off until March 19, when the Coyotes host Southwestern at Graves Family Sports Complex.
