It looks like much of the precipitation from the latest storm system moving through the area will fall further east.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, rain is most likely in eastern Kansas today, especially this afternoon. Chances for rain will decrease further west into central and south central Kansas, though scattered areas of rain can be expected.
Some snow may mix with the rain along and north of Interstate 70 in central Kansas, though no accumulation is expected.
Rain may mix with or change to snow tonight across parts of central and eastern Kansas. If so, only a trace to around one-half inch of snow is expected.
