SALINE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 7p.m. Monday in Saline County.
According to Saline County Sheriff's Operations Captain Jim Hughes, a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Harold Bailey, 64, Salina, was southbound near the curve in the 1000 Block of Old Highway 40 at North Street. The SUV crossed the center line and sideswiped a Ford F350 driven by a 47-year-old Joseph Primeaux of Salina.
First responders broke a window to extricate Bailey who was found unconscious inside the SUV. He was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation due to suspected impairment by the SUV driver, according to Hughes.
