A number of area students were among the winners of the Happy Birthday, Kansas! Student photo contest sponsored by the Kansas Historical Society.
The students were recognized by Governor Laura Kelly during an awards ceremony today in the Kansas State Capitol.
First-place winners in each grade level received iPads and second-place winners in each grade level received Kindles.
Following are the winners as provided by the Kansas Historical Society.
