A Salina man was injured and cited on Monday for allegedly intentionally jumping into traffic.
Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges said this morning that officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of S. Ninth Street for the report of a driver versus pedestrian accident.
"He [suspect] intentionally jumped in front of a vehicle," Tonngies said. "He was along the west curb line and a white 2013 Dodge Avenger was driving southbound and he jumped out in front of it damaging the windshield."
The suspect, identified as Eli Cademartori, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Tonniges said the only thing damaged on the car was the windshield.
Cademartori was cited for property damage and for pedestrian in the right of way.
