Patricia Branstetter, 88, (affectionally known as Pat or Patty) passed away on June 25, 2024 at Riverview Estates in Marquette, KS.
Patty was born on January 12, 1936 in Akron, CO to James Earl, Jr and Sue Louise Case. She was the oldest of their 3 children. Her family moved to Wray, CO when she was young. She always considered Wray her home town. Patty's love of the color purple came from Wray, their school colors are purple and white. After graduating high school she made her way to Kansas, then Missouri for a few years and then back to Kansas for good in 1977. Patty had 6 children from a previous marriage. On April 14, 1979 she married Ed Branstetter.
Some of the jobs that she held were Denver Bell as a telephone operator, McVay Ambulance, Walmart, Junghan Brothers, Bosselman Travel Center and Exide Technologies.
Patty was an avid and talented crafter....she sewed & cross stitched but her 2 favorites were crocheting and knitting. She spent her retirement years making hats and mittens for her grandkids, great-grandkids and for the local schools in Salina. She loved all animals, especially cats and birds. Patty was also a Green Bay Packers fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ed Branstetter, step-son Eddie Branstetter and brother John Case, just 5 weeks ago.
She is survived by her 6 children; Steve Warner (Karen) Elk Grove, CA, Pam Toney Chandler, AZ, Doug Warner Lindsborg, KS, Bill Warner (Marlyce) WaKeeney, KS, Cindy Smith (Ron) Salina, KS, Joe Warner Salina, KS, step-daughter Jackie Whitcomb, brother Jim Case Pierce City, MO and sister-in-law Mary Doris Case, Summerville, SC. Patty is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grand children with 1 on the way.
The family would like to extend or sincere thanks to the staffs of Riverview Estates and Gentiva Hospice of McPherson for all the love and support they have given Patty.
Friends and family will be received Monday, July 1, 2024 from 5 - 7 PM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford Salina, KS 67401. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel in Salina, KS, with Pastor Dallas Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS.
