Ginger L. Resnik

Ginger’s life began on November 1, 1944, in Luling, Texas. She is the daughter of Arnold and Frances (Brown) Balke. Ginger is a graduate of Midland High School in Midland, TX. She was united in marriage to Wayne Resnik on November 27, 1965, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. Ginger worked alongside her husband in the accounting office for Resnik Motors in Newton from 1982 until 2014. She loved animals and served on the board of the Caring Hands Humane Society of Newton, Ks. along with Volunteering for Several other Animal Organizations for years. Ginger enjoyed her Card Club with friends in Newton and had been a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She and Wayne enjoyed their travels to Europe and spending time at their second home in Kauai, Hawaii.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Wayne of Whitewater; children Tony (Jody) Resnik of Wichita and Stephanie (Lance) Powers of Wichita; grandchildren Kade and Gannon Resnik; Ashlyne and Paxton Powers; Step Grandchildren, Alex, Charith, Carsyn and Delaney and Step Great Grandchild Sophia; Her Sister Sue Roberson of Lubbock, TX and several nieces and nephews.
Ginger passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2023, at Chisholm Place Assisted Living in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Nancy Roderick and Joann Weathered. Her family will gather with friends on December 29, 2023 @ 2pm at the Wichita Country Club to Celebrate her Life with a Celebration of Life Gathering to follow from 3 – 5pm.
