Audit, grants, executive sessions on Saline County Commission agenda

The 2021 financial audit, grants, and updates are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.

About the meeting

Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings also can be viewed on Saline County’s YouTube channel:

Agenda items

Commissioners are scheduled to hear from Randall Hofmeier with Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris in Hutchinson who is to present the county’s audited financial statements for 2021.

Other items on the county agenda for Tuesday include the following.

●Consider approving a request from community corrections to apply for a grant from the Safer and Healthier Saline County Grant Program.

●Consider approving the purchase of permanent easements along a roadway improvement and reinforced concrete box replacement project on Falun Road, 0.5 miles east of Burma Road. In order to construct and maintain the project, additional road right-of-way easements will be necessary.

●Consider a request for the Department of Senior Services to accept a Salina Regional Health Foundation Community Health Investment Program (CHIP) grant in the amount of $5,000 to be used for the Senior Health Fair on Friday.

●Consider a request for the Department of Senior Services to accept a Meals On Wheels America Discovery Grant in the amount of $5,000 to further expand the Meals On Wheels and Healthcare for Pets Program.

●Consider awarding a bid to Re-View Windows for $232,875 to replace at the Senior Center existing exterior window sashes with new wood material, existing wood frames to remain, and install new insulated glazing. The Center has 94 original windows that would be replaced. Re-View will keep the historic integrity of the building while providing insulated glazing to provide better insulation.

●Consider a request to purchase five copiers/printers from Consolidated Printing for $21,916.64 to be used in the Health Department.

●Hear a 2023 allocation request from the Saline County Conservation District.

●Hear a Health Department update from Jason Tiller, director

●Hear County Administrator Phillip Smith-Hanes' update

Additionally, the commissioners are scheduled to meet in the following three executive sessions.
