KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs and Hunt Midwest are launching Two-Point Development, a joint real estate venture that will help shape vibrant, mixed-use districts around the franchise's new stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, and new headquarters and training facility in Olathe, Kansas. The long-term strategic partnership will ensure that both developments create premier, year-round sports and entertainment destinations that will spur regional economic activity, attract new investment, create new jobs, celebrate youth and amateur sports, and build new community hubs for residents, visitors, and fans.

The Two-Point Development partnership will be the master developer for the design and development of both districts, overseeing the world-class architects, engineers, land planners, and general contractors that will bring the vibrant districts to life.

In Olathe, the club’s future headquarters and practice facility will be the centerpiece of a vibrant, mixed-use environment that seamlessly brings football, community, and entertainment together. The vision is to create a setting where locals can live, work, and play, while visitors find connected, experience-driven public gathering spaces.
With both organizations founded by Lamar Hunt and stewarding the Hunt family legacy, the Two-Point Development name is inspired by Lamar Hunt’s innovative vision for including the exciting two-point conversion in professional football. With the thrilling post-touchdown two-point play a staple in college football in the 1950s, Lamar Hunt’s American Football League adopted the two-point conversion when it began play in 1960. After the AFL and NFL merged in 1970, the play disappeared from the professional game until 1994, when, at Lamar’s urging, it was officially adopted into the NFL rulebook.
The Chiefs stadium and training facility projects are part of a groundbreaking partnership with support from the State of Kansas; the Kansas Department of Commerce; the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas; the City of Olathe; and Johnson County.
