Saline County

At this time, the landfill is open to commercial haulers only for storm debris.

Please do not haul limbs to the landfill unless a public drop-off option is announced. For residents who live outside of city limits and do not have access to public limb pickup, please use the following options.

Available options include:

- Burn limbs if you have a valid burn permit.

- Apply for a burn permit here if you do not have one.

- Wait until the landfill is open to residential limb drop-off.

- Hire a commercial hauler if needed.

Need help with limbs or downed trees?

Saline County Emergency Management is coordinating volunteer chainsaw crews. Crews can cut and move limbs or downed trees to the curb.

To request assistance, call 785-833-7597 or 785-833-7593.

Chainsaw crews are beginning to work on Wednesday.

These are volunteer crews, and it will take time to get to everyone on the list. If you are already on the list and no longer need help, please call us back so we can remove your request.

County Road and Bridge cleanup:

County crews are clearing storm debris from public right-of-way. If debris came from the right-of-way, crews will remove it.

PLEASE NOTE: If debris came from a tree completely on private property and outside the county easement, it will be placed back on the owner’s property.
