Kansas Wesleyan men's tennis posted a 7-0 win over the Saint Mary Spires on Saturday at The Pines in Salina.
The Coyotes topped the Spires in both doubles flights that were contested. Bryce Ware (SO/Amarillo, Texas) and Garrison Wright (SO/Maize, Kan.) beat Jackson Contrucci and Alec Anderson-Colon 6-0; and Collin Phelps (FR/Salina, Kan.) and Jack Hanson (FR/Edmond, Okla.) beat Zachary Crumpacker and Jerod Zimmerman 6-1. The third flight was defaulted to the Coyotes.
KWU also topped the Spires in the four contested singles flights. Ware beat Contrucci 6-0, 6-0; Wright beat Anderson-Colon 6-0, 6-0; Adam Hanson (FR/Edmond, Okla.) beat Crumpacker 6-3, 6-2; and Collin Phelps beat Zimmerman 6-0, 6-0. The other two flights were default wins for the Coyotes.
Wesleyan is back in action on Monday heading to Hillsboro to take on Tabor, and then hosts McPherson on Tuesday.
