An unknown suspect stole numerous steel chainsaws from an equipment rental business in the 500 block of N. Broadway Avenue in Salina on Saturday, May 11, causing hundreds of dollars in damages.
Sometime between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, an unknown suspect broke into Construction Rental Inc. and stole more than $3,000 worth of tools.

"At 7:40 a.m. on Saturday, we [SPD] were dispatched to Construction Rental Inc.," said SPD Capt. James Feldman as an employee who came to the business and found the front door glass and three steel chainsaws valued at $3,000."
The total amount lost in the burglary was $3,000 in tools and $1,000 in damages. Feldman said SPD officers continue investigating the burglary and are working with the business to located any footage of the suspect.
