The Salina Police Department (SPD) has provided additional information after several female juveniles were reported missing from Saline County.

In just two days, three female juveniles were reported missing from Saline County. Included was:
- Jazzlynn Piersee, 14 (LOCATED; was missing 08/26/2026)
- Alyvia Carlisle, 16 (last seen 08/25/2026)
- Siayah Hubbard, 14 (last seen 08/25/2026)
According to SPD, Piersee and Carlisle were sent to the same court-ordered foster home and are from other jurisdictions (not residents of Salina). Both ran away from the foster home and have a history of running away, according to SPD.
Piersee was reported to have been located, and Carlisle has not yet been found.
Hubbard is a Salina resident and ran away from her home.
SPD Captain James Feldman said it is pretty common for juveniles to run away from either a foster home or their own.
"There may well be an issue between the parents and family members," he said. "If we feel someone is an imminent danger, we will report on that."
On September 25, 2025, SPD reported a missing 59-year-old woman from Tescott. The woman left her family's residence located in central Salina, where she drove off in her vehicle. Family members reported Peterson was in a mental health crisis recently and believed she was driving back to her residence in the Tescott area. She left behind important medications.
The woman was located that same day.
Feldman and Lt. Andrew Zeigler said this was an example that was reported to the media as a person who was in "imminent danger."
Feldman added that most children who are sent to a foster home do not come from a good home life. Whenever they are placed in a foster home with structure and rules set in place, they are not used to that and respond by running away.
"Most of the time, children do not want to be in a foster home," said Feldman. "Most of these children don't grow up in a good home environment or lifestyle. They are not used to the structure and rules the foster home has set in place. The children not from the Salina/Saline County area are trying to get back home."
Furthermore, Zeigler stated that the term "missing persons" can be easily misunderstood.
Zeigler and Feldman stated that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) will send out an AMBER ALERT, depending on the information submitted by local law enforcement.
According to Feldman and Zeigler, the criteria for an AMBER ALERT inlcudes:
- Age limit: child must be under 18
- Abduction: law enforcement must confirm whether the child was abducted or someone who ran away.
- Imminent Danger: The child is facing an immediate risk of serious bodily injury or death.
- Credible Evidence: There must be credible evidence and sufficient details about the child, the abductor, or the suspect's vehicle to share via public broadcasts and highway signs.
- Reported to NCIC: National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system.
Feldman and Zeigler told the Salina Post that there is no human trafficking problem in Salina.
According to the KBI, the KBI's missing persons website interacts directly with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
If the missing persons are entered or cleared, it will be reflected on the KBI's website as the system updates every few minutes. There is a possibility that the appropriate missing persons flags or entry categories weren't marked when being entered into NCIC.

In August, a total of eight juveniles were reported missing by the Salina Police Department (SPD) to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI).
Reportedly, there were eight reported missing female juveniles with two located, including:
- Jazzlynn Piersee, 14 (last seen 08/26/2026)
- Alyvia Carlisle, 16 (last seen 08/25/2026)
- Siayah Hubbard, 14 (last seen 08/25/2026)
- Shae Brown, 14 (last seen 08/18/2026)
- Taleya Corey, 16 (last seen 08/18/2026)
- Neveah Olague, 16 (located)
- Rozalynn Foster, 15 (located)
- Lakita Bowles, 15 (last seen 08/03/2026)
According to SPD, Brown, Corey, Olague and Bowles were in the same court-ordered foster home and were from other jurisdictions. SPD stated all four were reported to have run away.
Brown, Corey and Olague ran away together. However, Olague was then located in Topeka a couple of days after she went missing, according to SPD.
All four have a history of running from a facility, according to SPD.
SPD added that Foster ran away and was located with a family member in a neighboring county.
Brown, Corey, Olague and Bowles were court-ordered into state custody and then placed in a foster home in Salina. None of them were from the Salina/Saline County area, according to SPD.
