Eldon Leroy Frank, 85 of Minneapolis, Ks passed away on Monday, July 1st, 2024 peacefully at Pinnacle Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Salina, Ks.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guilford and Frieda of Gaylord, Ks, two sisters, Juanita LeiVan of Osborne, Ks, Nadine Giese of Smith Center, Ks, and his second wife Cindy Frank of Minneapolis, Ks.  

A graveside service followed by a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 1:00-3:00PM at Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel and Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Ks.  

Eldon was born on a farmstead near Gaylord, Ks in July 24th, 1938. He grew up in Gaylord where he attended grade and high school, played sports and worked with his father. His father Guilford owned and operated a Skelly petroleum product and fuel service where Eldon proudly wore a Skelly baseball cap. He eventually earned the nickname “Skelly” in which most all of his friends and acquaintances called and knew him as. In 1956 he married Julia K. Cowan, moved to Smith Center, Ks and went to work for the Boogaarts Food Stores as a truckdriver for a lifelong career. Eldon had a very strong work ethic and knew the value of a hard day's work. He purchased farm ground near Smith Center and was also a parttime farmer. In 1996 Eldon moved to Minneapolis and remarried Cindy Ann Geter where he eventually retired. Eldon was an avid dog lover, enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and drinking cold beer. 

He is survived by his first wife, Julia Frank of Salina, Ks, three sons, Monti Frank and wife Vicki of Salina, Eric Frank and wife CJ of Salina, Dugan Frank and wife Pam of Wichita, Ks, stepdaughter Desiree Runquist of Wichita, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. 

A special thanks to the Hospice team of Salina for their loving care during Dad’s last days and the family extends thanks to the folks at Roselawn for their support and accommodations.
