On Wednesday, the Sacred Heart golf team pulled off an unprecedented feat, coming back to win a tenth consecutive 2A state golf tournament.
The Knights trailed Syracuse by ten strokes going into the second day, but battled back to not just win, but dominate by 17 strokes.

Sacred Heart finished with a team score of 611, beating out Syracuse (628) and Hoxie (643) who wrapped up the tournament in second and third.
"The team was very loose on Wednesday on the ride to McPherson, and I had a good feeling for how things would turn out," Knight head coach Patrick Newell said. "They were all game planning how to accomplish their goal of winning the title, and the boys just showed an unbelievable amount of courage to get it done.
The Knight’s took two of the top five spots and five of the top 20, led by Dominic Matteucci (149) and Luke Newell (152) who finished third and fourth respectively.

Ethan Newell (156 - 9th) rounded out the Knights in the top 10, while Will Tuttle (162 - 15th) and Ben Marrs (163 - 18th) finished out the top 20.
