Looks like we're in for some rain.
Beginning late tonight through Saturday night there will be periodic episodes of showers and thunderstorms across central and eastern Kansas, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches can be expected with locally higher amounts possible.
A few storms could be strong to marginally severe, the weather service noted.
