Salina Police are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred at a convenience store.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) in the morning hours of Monday, August 25, employees of the Rod's 5 convenience store (680 S. Phillips Ave) reported about an attempted burglary that occurred from the roof.
Reportedly, the employees noticed the roof was damaged at around 10:30 am, when rain was coming through it. The employees then went to observe the roof and noticed that someone may have possibly attempted to cut a hole in the roof.
Damage to the roof was listed to be around $900.
SPD stated there was no entry made into the store and are currently following up with Rod's 5 to obtain surveillance video.
