Police are looking for surveillance video to help them identify the person or persons who broke into a construction trailer in southwest Salina earlier this week.
Sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone cut the padlock and pried the clasp of a white utility trailer that was parked in the 100 block of Georgia Avenue, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said this morning. Damage to the trailer, which belongs to Smoky Hill, LLC, was estimated at $110.
Items removed from the trailer, including hand tools, power tools, tool boxes, and site survey tools, were valued in excess of a couple of thousand dollars, Hanus said.
Persons in the area who have surveillance video that may show a suspicious vehicle or person, are encouraged to call the Salina Police Department.
