Sacred Heart Jr./Sr. High School introduces 2024 Homecoming court candidates

Sacred Heart Jr./Sr. High School is excited to announce this year’s Homecoming court. According to a statement from the high school, the Sacred Heart Jr./Sr. High School Homecoming Court students embody the values, dedication, and excellence that define Sacred Heart Jr/Sr High School.

Meet the 2024 Homecoming Court:

Jayden Freeman

Daughter of Jon and Jennifer Freeman, Jayden has been involved in volleyball and softball for all four years, earning varsity letters in both. She has served as co-editor of the yearbook and co-captain of the Margaret Mary Community. Jayden is a National Honor Society member and plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study elementary education.

Amy Mares

The daughter of Jose and Breiseda Mares, Amy has lettered in cheer all four years and participated in dance, basketball, and tennis. A National Honor Society member, she plans to attend Kansas State University, majoring in biology on a pre-med track.

Makenna Soukup

Makenna, daughter of Alan Soukup and Lisa Tinoco, serves as senior class president and has competed in track, qualifying for state multiple times. She has also been involved in cross country, volleyball, basketball, and powerlifting. Makenna plans to pursue a bachelor's in kinesiology with the goal of earning a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Caroline Stone

Caroline is the daughter of Marilyn and Dan Stone. She has lettered in cross country and track, winning state championships in the 4x800m relay. President of Drama Club, S.A.F.E., and Jr. Civitan, Caroline plans to study architecture while continuing her athletic career.

Hayzelle Rodriguez

Daughter of Juan and Ferlyn Rodriguez, Hayzelle has excelled in track, lettering for three years, and plans to pursue a pre-med program at Fort Hays State University with a major in biology.

Alex Ortiz

Alex, son of Channys and Ana Ortiz, has lettered in football and baseball and currently serves as a football captain. He plans to attend Kansas State University to study business.

Leon Rowe

Leon, son of Shannon Yerke, has lettered in football and baseball for the past three years. He is currently pursuing a career in diesel mechanics at Salina Tech.

Taygen Carswell

Taygen is the son of Aaron and Kristy Campbell. He has participated in football, bowling, and tennis, and plans to study HVAC at Salina Area Technical College.

Brady Wells

Son of Tiffany and Jason Wells, Brady has been involved in cross country, baseball, and track and field, lettering in all three. He plans to study biology but is undecided on a college.

Carson Lehmann

Carson is the son of Vincent and Jennifer Lehmann. He has lettered in football and basketball and plans to study construction science at Fort Hays State University.

Activities

The community is invited to join in the Homecoming festivities, with the Homecoming football game taking place on Friday, October 11, at Kansas Wesleyan University. The game begins at 7 p.m., with the crowning ceremony to be held at halftime.
