Police: Suspect with warrants goes over 90 mph in vehicle pursuit

Vehicle pursuit touches over 90 mph before arrest.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD), early morning on May 5, an officer attempted to stop a white 2000 Ford Explorer for allegedly committing a traffic violation in the area of 11th and Frost.

The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle drove to Crawford and went westbound to I-135 and then northbound on I-135 to State Street, then west on State to Burma, then north on Muir to Shipton, then north on Hedville.

The driver then stopped in the area of Hedville and Lockard.

Top speeds reached were 95 mph, according to SPD.

Officers arrested the driver, Aaron Rowan (41) of Salina.

Rowan reportedly, had a Probation Violation warrant and a Failure to Appear warrant. Drugs were located in the vehicle as well.

He was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference of Possession of an Opiate, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Fleeing and Elude.
