UPDATE: Severe t-storm warning has expired

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. for southern Lincoln County and Ellsworth County, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.

At 5:06 p.m. CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Wilson to five miles northwest of Claflin, moving east-northeast at 45 mph.

The weather service said that 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail are expected. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
