A traffic stop for speeding early this morning landed two Nebraska men in the Saline County Jail.
Saline County Sheriff's Captain James Hughes said this morning that at approximately 3:45 a.m. Monday, a deputy stopped a southbound 2009 Cadillac CTS at mile marker 83 on Interstate 135 for speeding. The car was going 85 mph, Hughes said.
During the course of the stop, the deputy discovered that the driver, Jose Hureta Cruz, 25, of Lincoln, Neb., had a suspended and revoked Nebraska driver's license, Hughes said.
Hureta Cruz and his passenger, Enrique Hureta Cruz, 34, also of Lincoln, Neb., consented to search of the vehicle, and during the search, the deputy found the following, Hughes said.

A baggie containing a substance suspected to be methamphetamine
Additionally, a baggie with 13 grams cocaine was found in the pocket of Enrique Hureta Cruz, and both of the men had rolled up currency with methamphetamine and cocaine inside, Hughes said.
While booking Enrique Hureta Cruz, sheriff's personnel found additional cocaine on his person, he added.
Enrique Hureta Cruz was arrested on the following requested charges, Hughes said.
