Kansas FFA Foundation
The Kansas FFA Foundation is launching community engagement sessions to the north-central region of Kansas.
Meetings will be held during April, with other areas of Kansas to follow. Representatives from the Kansas FFA Foundation, FFA members, FFA officers, and local supporters will share important information. The Our Youth. Our Future. Our Kansas FFA presentation will discuss exciting developments for the future of agriculture education throughout Kansas.
“Through a statewide feasibility study, we gained a greater sense that individuals who believe in agriculture education and FFA wanted the opportunity to hear more about the program,” said Beth Gaines, executive director of the Kansas FFA Foundation. “We are taking this opportunity to travel the state to share some of the exciting developments and some of the real challenges that are ahead as we strategically prepare for our future.”
Meeting topics will include some historical information, the focus of the future, the impact on Kansas agriculture, FFA funding and an opportunity to ask questions. The presentation will last about an hour.
The presentation will be offered at various locations throughout the region. The schedule is as follows:
Salina – Tuesday, Salina Public Library, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Abilene – April 11, Sterl Hall, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Minneapolis – April 12, Minneapolis High School, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Ellsworth – April 13, EHS Commons, 7 p.m.
Clay Center – April 20, Fairgrounds Conference Center, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Washington – April 26, KSDS East Training Center, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Courtland – April 27, JenRus Coworking, 3:30 p.m.
Belleville – April 27, High School Commons Area, 7 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVPs are requested, but everyone is invited.
