Karen L. Moralez, 71, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was a loving wife, sister, and friend. She was born January 6, 1951, to Raymond and Evelyn (McDowell) Chilen, in Salina.
She spent most her adult life in Salina and worked at Phillips Lighting, retiring after 38 years of service.
Karen married Steve Moralez on September 13, 2000, in Estes Park, Colorado;they spent 22 years together.
Karen took great pride in sewing port pillows for others going through cancer treatments. These pillows were added to the support bags given out at Tammy Walker Cancer Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband Steve; brothers Doug (Gloria), of Salina and Raymond T. Chilen, Jr., of Morgan, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, at Ryan Mortuary.
