Donna Marie Lawrence, age 76, entered into rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas. She was born December 18, 1945 in Concordia, Kansas to Raymond F. and Margaret M. (Chartier) Waite.
Donna was a Concordia High School graduate. On June 13, 1965, she married Roy Lester Lawrence in Belleville, Kansas. Roy preceded her in death on September 16, 2020.
Donna was a homemaker. Donna also worked for a short time for the school system and she did a lot of babysitting for the neighbor kids. She enjoyed playing cards with family and getting iced (lots of ice) tea and driving around town. Most of all Donna enjoyed being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She is survived by her sons Roy Lawrence (Charlotte), Concordia, KS; Willie Lawrence (Karla), Concordia, KS; Travis Lawrence (AJ), Sheridan, WY; sister Dixie Burchfiel, Concordia, KS; sisters-in-law Laura Christensen (Damon), Concordia, KS; Lorna Waite, Salina, KS; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, parents Raymond and Margaret, brothers Raymond E. (Sonny) Waite, Jerry Waite, sisters Betty Mendenhall, Dorothy Langston, Phyllis Morrison, Sharon Weaver.
Visitation will be held 1:00 to 5:00 Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
Memorial contributions may be given the the Donna M. Lawrence Memorial Fund to be designated at a later time.
