MINNEAPOLIS -- During a meeting Monday, the Ottawa County Commission adopted a resolution establishing an ordinance requiring the wearing of face coverings and social distancing in public spaces.
The ordinance took effect at 12:01 a.m. today.
The resolution indicates when face coverings are to be worn. Additionally, the ordinance establishes that people, businesses, organizations, and non-profits violating the ordinance are guilty of a misdemeanor and sets fines of $25 for a first violation to $100 for third and subsequent violations.
