LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball, under the direction of head coach Brandon Schneider, has announced another challenging non-conference schedule that awaits the Jayhawks during the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Kansas will play two exhibition contests and 13 non-conference contests prior to the start of Big 12 play, including eight regular season games at Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks will also play four neutral site contests while playing one true road game during the non-league schedule.
“As we create our non-conference schedule, we always have two goals in mind,” Schneider said. “First is play a variety of opponents who will best prepare us for Big 12 play, and second to build a strong resume for NCAA Tournament selection. Our group has been working extremely hard all summer, and we hope our fan base will take advantage of every opportunity to support our young women.”
After hosting exhibition contests against Northeastern State (Oct. 22) and Washburn (Oct. 29), Kansas opens the regular season with a trio of home contests against Omaha (Nov. 3), Drake (Nov. 7) and Oral Roberts (Nov. 10). The Jayhawks play the next five games away from home, starting with The Invitational against Nebraska in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Nov. 14, followed by a trip to Minnesota on Nov. 18 and the 28.5 Invitational on Nov. 22 vs. South Dakota State at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
KU heads to Mexico for the Cancun Challenge on Nov. 26-27 before returning home for the final five non-conference matchups in December. Those opponents include Missouri State (Dec. 3), Kansas City (Dec. 6), North Dakota State (Dec. 10), Northwestern (Dec. 13) and Lindenwood (Dec. 16).
On June 11, the Big 12 Conference announced conference matchups for the 2026-27 season. Kansas will host Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and UCF while traveling to BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Utah and West Virginia. The Jayhawks will also play home-and-home contests against Iowa State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State.
