McPherson County reports 8 new cases of COVID-19

MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today reported eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 187.

Following is information about the most recent cases, as provided by the health department.

●Positive case No. 180 is a symptomatic male in his 70s with unknown exposure at this time and is hospitalized.

●Positive case No. 181 is a symptomatic male in his 30s with unknown exposure at this time and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 182 is an asymptomatic male in his 20s with unknown exposure at this time and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 183 is a symptomatic female in her 60s with unknown exposure at this time and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 184 is a symptomatic male in his 50s with unknown exposure at this time and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 185 is an asymptomatic male 18 year old with unknown exposure at this time and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 186 is a symptomatic female 18 year old with unknown exposure and is recovering at home (family of No. 187).

●Positive case No. 187 is a symptomatic female in her 30s with unknown exposure and is recovering at home (family of No. 186).

Of the 187 total cases, 171 have met Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines, the health department noted.
