Wayne Alan Kee, of Stockton, KS, passed away on February 4, 2023, at Alliance Health in Woodward, OK, at the age of 69. He was born on January 6, 1954, to James Warren and Willie Ruth (Wineinger) Kee in Beloit, KS. He was married to Michele Lee McComb on August 19, 1972, in Stockton, KS. They were blessed with four children: Brandi, Brian, Brianne, and Brooke.
Wayne grew up on the family farms south of Alton and south of Woodston were he loved to be. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1972. He worked as a truck driver for Home Oil and Prickett & Sons; and was self-employed on the farm.
Wayne enjoyed fishing and traveling wherever the road led, always wanting to see what was over the next hill. He enjoyed listening to Robert Earl Keen, watching Westerns, Andy Griffith, and his favorite YouTubers, and attending Triple-A Baseball games along the way as he traveled. Of course, one of his most favorite things was spending time with his grandkids and making plans with family and friends.
Wayne was a good-hearted man with a loving nature and never knew a stranger. He worked hard, enjoyed life, and cherished his family and friends. They were blessed by the years they had with him. We know that those we enjoyed and loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. We can smile because he lived and left us with cherished memories that will live forever in our hearts. He will be remembered in love.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Michele Kee of the home in Stockton; children: Brandi Kee of Abilene, KS, Brian (Mariah) Kee of Stockton, Brianne (Jezariah) Rush of Stockton, and Brooke (Ryan) Clayton of Salina, KS; mother Evelyn Irene Kee of Plainville, brothers, Ray (Diana) Luhman of Colby, KS, James (Ernestine) Kee of Stockton, and Gary (Karen) Kee of Oxford, IA; brother-in-law, John Harmon of Rockport, TX; and 16 grandchildren.
