Ronald R. Hatfield, 66, passed away peacefully June 6, 2024.&nbsp; Ron led an extraordinary life serving 20 years in the United States Navy.&nbsp; He loved the opportunity the Navy gave him to travel the world and experience many different countries and cultures.&nbsp; Ron also loved the comradery and lasting friendships he developed with all his Navy shipmates. &nbsp;

Retiring from the Navy with an honorable discharge, Ron decided on a career with Union Pacific Railroad.&nbsp; He also went to college at Brown Mackie in Salina and received his associate’s degree in business.&nbsp; During his time with the railroad he became a foreman.&nbsp; After a 20 year career he retired from Union Pacific. &nbsp;

Ron is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hatfield; three daughters, Amber Hatfield, Jessica Hatfield, Jamie Hatfield; a son, Joshua Hatfield; two step-children, Jarrod Main and Jennifer Main; and 11 grandchildren he loved very much. &nbsp;

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11th at Ryan Mortuary.&nbsp; Burial with military honors will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. &nbsp;
